Detective Conan Movies Rewatch Before Watching Movie 26: Movie 9 This movie felt like a two-hour TV special, which is not a good thing. The case presented in the movie was quite good, much better than whatever was happening in Movie 8. We got a rare awake Kogoro deduction show (who was also in a tuxedo as well). The twist at the end was logical. Everything involved with the case itself was excellent. This was one of the best cases presented in DC. Yet, the movie felt like a slog to go through. Unlike previous DC movies, this one lacked the scale and excitement of a typical DCmovie. If the movie was instead a TV special, this would have been one of the best episodes ever, but this storyline simply doesn't work as well as a movie. Lastly, the climax of the movie felt melodramatic, almost cringe-worthy. The movie had a lot of potential, but it lacked execution. 6/10
