Very different tone and direction compared to the Anime & Movie, if you're expecting the same depth and artistic flavour that the original anime has you will be disappointed. However, this Manga is just fun. It's an enjoyable read, seeing the different takes on the characters and a differing plot was fascinating. Haruka Shitow doesn't have the same level of depth as the anime but is much funnier. One thing I found annoying about this Manga is the sheer level of "fan service" in it. But honestly, I feel like that about a lot of Anime/Manga nowadays, it isn't for me but some straight male weebout there will probably enjoy it so, like whatever.
The best way I can describe this Manga is, it's pretty much lighthearted fun with some interesting plot points. It may not leave you stunned on the floor like Evangelion, but if I'm having a better time reading this than struggling through the first episodes of demon slayer (Seriously? when is it supposed to get good?) then I honestly can't complain.
