To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts is a pretty fun read. It follows Nancy Schaal Bancroft, a young girl who is the daughter of a Beast, and Captain Hank Henriette, a Platoon captain of a former Beast division in the military, and their adventure of hunting down these "Incarnates" or "Beast", (super soldiers that where turned into monsters.) The Series takes place in a world similar to 1870's america, even taking place after a bloody civil war. The art work of the series is wonderful. Maybe has a very pretty art style and his design of the Incarnates are very unique, while still staying true to the look of these monsters in legend, which I really like. The clothing, weaponry, and culture of the world is very historically accurate as well, really making it feel as if you where thrown into this 1870's like world with monsters running about.
Overall I had a very fun time reading the first five volumes and can not wait till volume six comes out. If you are a fan of Humans vs. Monsters/demons like stories you will probably like this one. It is similar to series like Hell Blade, Jack Frost, and Hellsing. So if you enjoy any of those, chances are you will like this one as well.
