Aki no Kanade · review
If you want to live your dream, you have to fight for it. Story: 10 It's about a now-grown-up girl who really likes playing taiko, but for career reasons, she has to leave her family and town. There are many emotions in this short 20 minutes, which makes it both happy and sad at the same time. Characters: 8 Because of its shortness, the story can't develop many characters, and we can't get enough background information about most of them. Still, the already existing chemistry works really well. Art: 8 It's really good; one can easily tell who is who because of the artistic choices.Animation: 10
Of course, the taiko animations are the best, but there are no lazy frames anywhere.
Music and sound: 10
Taiko is an amazing instrument, representing both softness and power, and this makes it an easy-to-understand dialect in the universal language. The anime doesn't give the viewer enough of this, but it's good for understanding why someone can be absorbed into this world.
