I first saw this anime and did not think much of it. I was very mistaken, immediately after beginning I became drawn in to the story and the culture and time period. All three seasons so far were made very enjoyable by the various interesting characters and the overall plot. I very much recommend you watch this. P.S the intros and outros slap as well. For example , the Ainu culture explored was done extremely well and I felt like i was learning while enjoying the show, also the pacing was very stable and i did not feel at any point did it feel rushed.
