Review of The King's Avatar

I had heard of this anime from some comment under a different anime I was watching and decided to give it a try, and oh boy was I surprised. This is a Chinese anime which is most likely why it’s not very popular, but if you don’t mind that they speak Chinese instead of Japanese (I don’t really know why you would) then you should definitely give this a try. Story: 9/10 This is not SAO or anything like that, the MC is not transported into the game. He is just the famous top player at the certain game he plays in real life on a computer(read the description) and in the scenes in which he’s playing the game it turns into the POV of his character which can be compared to SAO. I don’t think I’ve seen another show with this kind of story, it seems pretty unique to me and considering it’s Chinese it was definitely different in ways than other anime.

Art: 10/10

The animation and art in this anime is amazing which I wasn’t expecting. It’s very realistic and quite different than other anime I’ve seen. These two scores are the greatest strengths of this show and the ones worth mentioning the most. Overall I would give this show a 9/10 for me at least. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was fun to watch something different for once.
