Review of The Ancient Magus' Bride

The is a great example of no matter how beautiful the environment art, character design, and animation are; an anime will only be mediocre if provided a mediocre/bad narrative. This series started out heart-warming and the premise of the story is an interesting topic. The gorgeous art and ambience also contributed to my tender emotions. Yet, half way through, the anime fell apart with cliché plots, as the result, the characters also fell short and the story ruined. Perhaps this is what "slice of life" is supposed to be like and it is not my cup of tea, yet I still find the entire story is beunwholesome and that it could do so much better given the great introduction.

Overall, there seemed to be a promising beginning, but midway through to the end only disappointments were delivered.
