Mouretsu Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace (2014) Somewhat lost itself on the way to this movie. The series that this comes from is a great ride from start to finish but this is somewhat too much of a happy-clappy experience. The storyline is a simple son of a famous person is hunted for knowledge by a large corporation and needs saving. It is a simple princess storyline reversed in roles. It has a good premise but the way it is played out does not live up to previous standards. The art is the same as before and has not changed at all which is good. The soundis of the same standard again and follows a nice pattern.

Characters are all the same but the new one is a bit dull and the extra characters (villains) don't really do much either.

Although this should have been a really enjoyable experience it was not as I had expected. It is still a good watch but this is much more aimed at those who just want a happy ending. The less focus of Marika as well takes away from it, especially towards the end.
