Review of Attack on Titan
This was the show that made me grow an aprreciation for anime. My cousin recommended this show to me, but I was very reluctant at first because I had never been interested in anime before. But one day, I opened my mind, I watched the first episode just to see if it was worth watching and I ended up wacthing the entire thing. I was reall surprised with how good it was. Not only is this one of the best anime ever made, it's one of the best shows ever made. It's the only anime I would put up there alongside Breaking Bad andChernobyl.
Where can I possibly start? The story is phenomenal. It's full of genius foreshadowing which increases the show's rewatchability. It starts off with a simple premise about humans being attacked by titans and it gets progressively more complex (and depressing) as you go on. I also never felt lime I was being given too much information. The prime example of this is immediately the first episode, where you're only given the information you need to start watching the show and become invested in it. The information that's not immediately necessary has its seeds planted early in the story and is then presented in a way that doesn't feel forced. The prime example of this is the genre shift between seasons 3 and 4.
The soundtrack is also one of the best I've ever heard, and «Vogel Im Kafig» is probably my new favorite song.
The characters are also great, and that's including Mikasa. I understand that people don't like Mikasa because she's too attached to Eren and does nothing but worry about him, but that really didn't bother me. Considering her backstory, it makes perfect sense for her to be that way.
I don't wanna give away too many details about this show. If you haven't watched it yet, I have a question: What are you waiting for?
