Before going into this show know that it isn't connected to the other build series of Gundam, and should be treated as a standalone separate series. This show was genuinely an emotional rollercoaster for me, even if major plot points were foreshadowed from the very start and the logic to do with a game world reaches SAO tier of unrealistic, it still managed to bring me to tears. The last 5 episodes, the climax of the story and the payoff at the end were moving and is the best finale of anything I've seen in a long time. It is an emotional tale of thelove people have for their game, and a community coming together to make the impossible possible. The characters are all very interesting and have many different dynamics with each other. The battles are all varied and interesting and have so much freedom due to it being set in a game world.

I can understand why fellow hardcore Gundam fans dislike it. It really goes completely off the usual Gundam formula, and even very different to the Build Fighters and Build Fighters Tri formulas. But trust me the payoff, everything coming together, and everyone coming together, was worth it and gives on of the most moving and exciting endings I could have asked for.

Please, give it a go. You won't regret it. Yes, it's no space politics, it's no space terrorists, it's characters are younger, but that doesn't make the story any less moving or enjoyable. It's worth the ride.
