As someone who cried at the conclusion of the first and second yo-kai watch games, this manga is a let-down. I've never been more disappointed in something using the title of a franchise I love than after reading this manga. When going into this manga, if you just came from the games you expect an amazing story with a bittersweet ending, but thats the thing, this manga has no story. It took away all of what makes Yo-Kai Watch so great outside of the monster designs, and replaces it with monster of the week. Which don't get me wrong, drove me wild as a kid, butreturning to it now I expected so much more.

The art at most times, is disturbing. Yes I get that the demographic is for kids, and kids love gross-out humor, but here it is overdone to where I can't even finish it. The child demographic should not change the story this much, even less so considering that the original game was also made for children.

If you have a 3DS, I would highly stray away from reading this manga, I looked it up, for $10 per volume, at 23 volumes, you can buy the entire series of games.

This manga is just pitiful compared to the original game, and I have a similar problem with the anime. Don't read unless you're too young to be on this site.
