Gannibal isn't a manga I thought I would catch myself reading, but here we are. First of all, its premise is interesting, and unique. It definitely isn't the first horror manga set in a rural area, but its definitely one of the better. Its suspense is strangling, the manga keeps making you second guess yourself. Is this going to happen? Is that person evil? Is that child going to die? There are many questions you're going to keep asking. Some may be resolved, some may not. You'll just keep on second guessing yourself as you're left in suspense Gannibal's art is honestly top notch. The characterdesign, background art, just everything looks pleasing to look at. It may not have the most gruesome art, but it'll make you shiver.

Regarding the characters, I feel that the main character is very easy to relate to. He's a character that you'll find looking up to. He's chilled, laid back at times, but when he's on the job as a police officer, he's a very admirable character. Though he gets scared, he doesn't back down. I haven't seen much of the other characters but they seem like they would get cooler developments in the future.

Overall, Gannibal was a very enjoyable manga to read. It's suspense keeps you wanting to read it, it's character makes you want to admire them, it's art will always amaze you. Definitely one of the better horror-suspense manga that I've read.
