This little rascal here is a juicy amalgamation of jagaaan, tokyo ghoul, ajin, tokyo no8. and bugs. It even shares the same faults. Like ajin the author has no idea what to do with the plot in the beginning, i can tell he was writing it chapter by chapter (still its fine, both ajin and this made it work) only at almost half point does he sit down and start planning things and he suddenly goes a little crazy with the plot twists. But in the end he formed a solid plot for the whole thing and ended things nicely. The whole thing was like jagaaan forme but with bugs. Like Jagaaan the author added things early on that were crucial and he couldnt just take them out, but he worked with it nicely, unlike a certain owl. Even the crazy asspull abilites where there but every manga has those.
Like tokyo ghoul, 2 groups exist, the protagonists who are the insectors and eat humans. And on the side of humanity there are the bug reapers, who at first I didnt like due to the similiarity but then came to like later. This genre and type of group dynamics is not that explored compared to the 1000 trash isekai clones either so i was fine with it after realising this fact.
At this point as im writing this review this mangas score sits at a whopping 6.78.
Ill give this a rating of 10 until it reaches at least 7 which i think would be fairer for it.
The black and is tuff as hell
Read this if you like cool bugs and mangas i mentioned above.
