As someone who has read a LOT of villainess' manga, this one outstands from most I've read. The reason why I enjoy this trope so much is because I really enjoy when there's angst. And trust me, it's not always you'll se a good manga/manhwa who KNOWS how to write angst so well. It's to the point I can feel my hear ache when I'm reading. I won't be biased (or I at least will try not to be) and say it's a perfect manga. I could say the autor sometimes goes overboard and I definitely wished the protagonist (Iana Magnolia) had more "wins" throughout thestory. Sometimes I think a plot is extended too much and so I often find myself just wishing Iana's suffering would end so she could have her happy ending. But that is all only because it's easy to sympathize with the protagonist and you'll see yourself often hurting as much as she does. Although I agree it can get tiring sometimes, I don't think it's something it bothers me that much. It's not without reason that I am 58 chapters in and I plan on finishing this manga :)
At the same time there's lot of angst, there is a good amount of comedy. As someone who writes stories and fanfics since I'm 10, I DEFINETLY can relate to the "dark history". Just like the protagonist, I have my fair share of cringe stories in which I wrote to self-insert and daydream about an ideal version of myself. I think that's a special part of the story I really like. It's both funny and nice to see so much cliché tropes mixed together and somehow working, all with the perfect "excuse" of being the product of a teenage girl writing her self-insert story.
With all of that, there's also the insanely good artwork. I think this is the manga I have most print screens in my gallery. The male characters are good looking and there are so many heart aching arts that I had to stop for a moment to appreciate. Plus, Iana, the protagonist, also has a lot of panels where she looks insanely good. I really have to praise the artist, because, as someone who also draws, I think it's amazing how they can convey emotions so well. It adds a lot to the story.
Anyways, I'm a sucker for this story and, although it requires a bit of patience to read this never-ending story I think it's worth a go!! It might not be what you like to read, but, for me, it's all I could ask for when I think about villainess tropes.
