There are some things to complain about with this story but overall it's a decent read. I'll list some things I disliked and liked about this story. 1. There was barely any progression for the first 100 chapters (except for before he joined the academy). A huge part of the story so far is just about pointless antagonists like cocky noble kids bullying the MC simply because he's not cowering in fear and a huge assassin organization that antagonized the MC for like 60 chapters because he refused to "lend" money to 5 of their drunk lower-ranked members and then the problem kept escalating because they kepttrying to antagonize the protagonist. There wasn't even a clear end-game antagonistic organization until like chapter 100 (but they were hinted a lot from the start of the story, they just didn't have any part in the plot until chapter 90-100) but things are finally starting to get more exciting now.

2. The art style changes 2 or 3 times throughout the current 4 seasons which is slightly annoying but I only hated the art style after season 1, the rest wasn't anything worth complaining about and the current artstyle is really good.

3. The 2 main side characters that are like a permanent part of the story, are insanely annoying and the FL and MC both think they're a nuisance most of the time which just makes me wonder why the fuck the side characters are even a part of the story if the main characters find them bothersome to hang with most of the time.

Alright now to say some good things about this:
1. It's not harem
2. The romance is pretty good so far even though the FL had a bad first appearance
3. The fight scenes vary because of the changing art, but the current artstyle has some insanely good fight scenes
4. The world building is pretty good and we can see the MC SLOWLY building connections in different places that will matter later in the story.
5. The MC is pretty cool, rational and has the classic forbidden power that may or may not consume his sanity someday
6. There is a lot of academy drama so if you like that then you might like this story
7. The story so far is kinda about the MC learning how to be a proper human since he grew up in a forest full of beasts (like temu tarzan) so he's getting a lot of character development
