Review of Dorohedoro
Honestly, definitely worth the watch. The world they live in and the plot/characters/fantasy/cinematography are all pretty incredible. I only watched this because it appeared on Netflix outa nowhere. I knew this was from last season, but wasn’t planning on watching it even though it was rated 8.2 on Myanimelist. The first episode didn’t grip me though. I thought the CGI was shite. Felt like the characters and the backgrounds didnt really go together, but by episode 2, I was like dayummmmmmmmm. Dorohedoro is nothing like any other anime I've seen, at least no the plot. This originality of different ideas that were put into the showblew me away. I usually don’t like shows that are gorey or just complete voilence (like baki lol or jojo….) but this show was sooooooo goooooood!!!! The plot is about this lizard man, Caiman who lives in the “hole: with this chick Nikaido. The Hole is basically an area where people were used as test experiments for Sorcerers. Caiman was turned into a Lizard man by a Sorcerer, therefore is trying to find out who put this curse on him. This show is pretty gorey, but not to the level where you can’t handle it or find it disgusting. Death is disguised with comedy and this lightheartedness that makes you feel like it’s not so bad. Like if someone died they’d be like oh ok he died LOL. The type of friendship they show between the characters makes me so happy lmao.
Every episode is SO RANDOM but for SOME REASON it still makes sense?? Or more like I dont mind that theyre so random?
Even after I finished the season, I still cannot guess WHY DOES CAIMAN HAVE RISU IN HIS MOUTH??? And the fact that EBISU was the one turning people into lizards? But then RISU what do you mean like what??? Got in your way???
The friendship between Noi and Shin, I just love it.They're so funny they keep getting injured too but they don't die??? And clearly Shin can withstand more pain than Noi.
Johnson????/ Fuck, the episode where they play baseball? And then by the end of the episode Fujita’s dude dies because of Ebisu cuz she crushed him? Hahahahah I really dont know why Fujita is even in the show but im glad he is. I also love how there is a contract for sorcerors, and how theres a demon realm.
