Review of Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro
Honestly, I started watching this due to the hype and expected nothing much from it. So let me get some things out of the way, what I did enjoy about it. The art, oh man, what can I say, the art is actually perfect, don't get me wrong, it's not bloom into you or a silent voice, but it's not far from them. It blends a mixture of seriousness and quirky. what I mean by that is, that it knows when to be funny and when to be serious, a common problem that most animes fall short of. I loved the art style and that itcan be taken as light-hearted and with as much care to the source material as it did. Solid 10/10 for art.
The story, I read the manga in the past, and yes it did interest me, your typical tsundere girl falling for a nerd, nothing much to say about that. Solid 8/10
Now for sound, oh man, I don't wish to rant that much, I did not enjoy it as much as I am supposed to. Its good, but far from perfect, nothing wrong with the VAs, they did an amazing job, but at times the background was overpowering. It could be just that I am not that good at reading 2 things at the same time, but I do wish that there was a more straight forward conversation, as compared to when there are 3 conversations going on at the same time, it gets hard to confront these conversations. It pains me to do this but 6/10.
Overal I did enjoy this anime, for anyone that wants a feel-good tsundere girl that loves a nerd anime, this is the one. SOLID 7/10
