Review of Umamusume: Pretty Derby Season 3
This season proved to be just as good as the previous one by taking you on an emotional rollercoaster among the varying characters (albeit not as much as S2), as well as having scenes that put you on the edge of your seat (i.e. the races). The primary focus is around Kitasan Black and Satono Diamond, however, I felt it was more focused on Kitasan, making Satono feel more like a supporting character than a main. Although, with Kitasan, we got to see how she broke through every roadblock that hit her or navigated a different path with the ones she couldn't quite crack. Additionally, there were little to no injuries in this season, with a more primary focus on Kitasan's mental state - this made this season more unique to the previous and helped me make a stronger connection to Kitasan's character, something I couldn't achieve in the past seasons.
Overall, this season proved to be just as emotional as the previous, however, it focused more on how a horse girl's mental state affects how they race. Definitely a must watch if you enjoyed the previous season(s)!
