Review of Dan Da Dan

This show is great when it's whacky and doesn't take itself too seriously. Seeing the unique monster designs is so interesting, and the pacing was on point for the first few episodes. I got hooked right from the start! But then I think the story loses direction. It becomes more of a romance and it's really unnecessary. It tries too hard and just comes across as weird. For example, the MC feels like a self insert for awkward teenage boys, who I assume the fanservice is meant to appeal to. I really hope that season 2 will contain its focus to the supernatural elements. It has somuch potential if it does
