Review of [Oshi No Ko]

Oshi no Ko has become a sensation this season, transcending logic and captivating viewers with its unique blend of genres and ideas. Created by the same author as Kaguya-Sama: Love is War, this anime delivers a unique experience, unlike its predecessor. The first episode, a 70+ minute mini-movie, introduces the complex storyline, revolving around Amamiya's reincarnation as "Aqua", one of idol singer Ai Hoshino's children. Love, lies, and revenge play crucial roles as Aqua seeks the truth in the entertainment world. Oshi no Ko amazed us with its depth and emotional drama, tackling sensitive themes such as scandals, death, suicide, and exploring the intriguing topic of howthe public perceives idols and actors in the entertainment industry. The topics being portrayed in this anime really show the true nature of showbiz in this day and age. Nothing is as it seems on the outside. What makes Oshi no Ko very surprising is how similar it is to real-life situations. Aka Akasaka did a great job explaining and essentially "exposing" some of the aspects of showbiz while making it interesting with a sprinkle of quirkiness. Studio Doga Kobo also did a great job capturing the vibrancy and complexity done by the illustrator.

The music in this was so well-written and must-listen (disable auto skip intro). The lyrics of both songs have been beautifully composed to create a strong connection with the main characters of the story. Yoasobi and Queen Bee did a fantastic job.

Overall, Oshi no Ko is a must-watch for those seeking a compelling storyline and psychological elements. The show insists that being in showbiz is a double-edged sword. The harsh realities of the industry it claims to portray, hiding between the narrative that being an idol and engaging in their world is a great and rewarding experience.
