Airing at 4 EPs right now. Really enjoying this so far. Take SAO, replace Kirito, give all players companion NPCs and then let the world go on after the players log out. Now enter OP years later and actually go into the fact the NPCs were self-conscious and now got autonomous, while the world advanced in that time. This is what makes it interesting. If you want a bog standard Isekai with an OP hero, where the Isekai actually has a point to the plot, then go for it. Good for an Isekai, obviously. The manga crowd is complaining that the source material is better, so maybe give thata shot too.
