Review of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead
The humour is so out of pocket that I had to give an extra star. The art style and animation is so well done. The colours really pop and it makes for a good visual experience as you would want from an anime. I really like how all the zombies look like they just came out of a paintball game. The character designs are great and everyone is easily identifiable. The direction of the series is really well done and you can tell they had a particular vision for this adaptation that they didn't waver on. It can get very cinematic at points and isone of the better looking animes in all aspects of this year.
One last thing, I really like the comparison to modern day workers and zombies. It's definitely on the nose but it makes it instantly relatable for many people, and I imagine even more so for the native Japanese watching this and seeing themselves in the main characters. The exploitation of workers needs to stop and we should have the opportunity to live our lives with our friends and family, the people we love, not spend all of our time with our co-workers and *shudders* management.
Also the OP is a banger and it kind of made me want a zombie musical anime LOL
