Story: Simple but decent (a little bare bones tho). Everything that we need is introduced pretty early so we have a good grasp of what the situation is like. I give it extra points for not having too many ass pulls, there are no scenes (maybe beyond one) where a character is like "Haha here is the power noone ever knew about that will help me win!". If you watch attentively you might have a few "wow" moment when you piece small things together but its not something compleatly mind blowing either. 6,5/10 Art: Fine, sometimes better sometimes worse but I enjoyed it. There are somebetter animated scenes but mostly it is just "fine" 7/10

Sound: Good, the soundtrack is pleasant, not too intrusive, just wished the "fight" scene music was less generic. As for voice acting nothing to complain here either. One exceptional thing is the MC's voice which is perfect for the character. 8/10

Characters: A little shallow (with exception of main character). Protagonist has some development and we see him have small changes especially towards the end. He has a really "fun" personality as he is both twisted and horrible but also in some regards lawful...? Also he has a brain and guts which is something very unique for most of anime protagonists (especially in that genre). But sadly beyond that majority of characters are simply a cheer squad for our protagonist which is a bit of a disappointment here. Small saving grace is that those shreds of personality that some of the supporting cast have showcase one of the plot points. 6/10

Enjoyment: Great, it is not a masterpiece by any means but it is a breath of fresh air, we finally have a protagonist that is not a pushover, he is not afraid to kill or do what is nescessary to achieve his goal, he uses his brain, some scenes were really well made, overall really good watch had fun (tho a bit more of a guilty pleasure). Better Shield Hero, as adaptation of Tate no Yuusha did not have the courage to portrey the novel properly and watered it down. Chad Keyaru > Virgin Naofumi. Warning: The enjoyment score is biased as I am frustrated with the amount of incometent hetare protagonist who can't grow a pair and stand up to anything. 9/10

Total: 7,5
