The animation was really great, although the story was abit draggy. The animation was really well done. The story is quite interesting as they explore something different from the rwby main story line. The focus of the character is on Weiss and her family, and their relationship with the Faunas. There was a lot time and effort invested into the animation especially the fight scenes were really good, the animation really did carry the show for me. Looking through the reviews, people were upset with the storyline as they only focus on Weiss story and there wasn't much of world building, everything was really narroweddown to those few main characters. I felt they could have explore more but however, overall it is not bad for a side story. Don't let the reviews affect whether you should watch the show, go and watch it and decide it for yourself!
