What else can be said about this beautiful series that has yet to be said? The attention to detail is done so well, that some of the most talked about scenes are simply about how the clothing on individual characters move as they do. On a lesser show, that'd be a NEGATIVE, but for this show? It only encourages a higher score. The characters are so interesting, ESPECIALLY when they're just hanging out. The story feels very classical fantasy, yet it feels oddly... refreshing? In the modern era, the predicable thing is to write a villain that you end up sympatric to, and this showtoys with that, and subverts your expectations and just sometimes makes the bad guy, the bad guy. I didn't expect to feel that way, but it I was surprised as to how REFRESHING it was to see some of the villains simply be villains with no redemption.

The biggest negative I ended up having was the transitions between flashbacks. They are great, add a lot, and frequently made me tear up, but it started to remind me of Family Guy after a certain point with how the flashbacks always kind of feel like they start with a "wow lois, this reminds of the time that..." it kind of became a bit funny at some point. The positives GREATLY outweigh the few negatives this show has to the point where I am happy with giving it a "perfect" score.

Is this the greatest anime of all time, as rated by MAL at the time of writing this? That's VERY debatable. But the fact that it IS debatable is a great reason to give this a 10/10 masterpiece score and to push it up that little bit more. This show truly deserves it.
