Review of BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense.

I don't even really know where to start. There's virtually no plot. Every episode is pretty much the same episode with the same sort of thing happening, none of which actually goes anywhere or accomplish anything. The characters have no real personality, goals, or animating force of their own and all exist just to fawn over the main character, who is herself a one dimensional projection of "adorkable." Said main character comes to dominate the game with absurdly broken powers through sheer luck and incompetence facilitated by the most poorly designed MMO imaginable developed by the most incompetent developers imaginable (who also just fawn overthe main character).

More than bad, this show is just pointless, absolutely pointless. I should have quit after the first episode, but I held out hope that it might eventually decide to do something. That hope was foolish.

The animation and voice acting was decent though, so at least someone working on this knew what they were doing.
