SPOILERS AHEAD Still definitely up there in most heartwarming animes, and only 12 episodes (well, the show). The movie doesn't add much, while there are a couple new scenes esp. with a lil bit more context on the mother, I'd say that it's not necessary to watch this. But if you liked the show, and you'd be crazy not to, then this is the furthest thing from a waste of time. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Hime and Goto again. I missed all the characters and the humour. I cried, I'll admit it. Because as sweet as everything is, I don't think I'll ever get over howgood of a parent Goto is to Hime and how he managed to be a great dad even after the loss of his wife. Nor do I think I'll ever get over the fact he spent his savings on continuing the search for her, even after they called it off.

Everything is tied up in a bow, still. But their relationship was perfectly captured in this and you can clearly see how much both Hime's parents love her. I don't think a 12 episode anime has ever been able to perfectly develop a relationship like this before.

In summary, I still can't get enough of them. Even though I would've loved more new scenes and content, the movie was still enjoyable and I wish I could go back to when I first started Kakushigoto. It's definitely an anime I'll recommend to people who love SoL, meaningful relationships and this kind of humour.

Will always be a comfort anime of mine.
