Review of Horimiya
A story is meaningful and enjoyable as how you tell it… and this way of telling this story wasn't it. Having watched the OVA version and being a fan of the manga, this was such a disappointment! Everything felt cliché, it didn't take the time to developed the bonds (which is the point of this story, if you wanted a lighthearted rom-com there are thousands out there) between the characters so the moment when the MC realizes everything could have been different and his life crisis could have never resolved, falls completely flat. Having 13 episodes could have meant the development could have been paused and deep, going for the meaningful psychological growths, but it went more for the comedy, which is not very interesting in this story. So, to the painest of my hearts, I think this was a missed opportunity.
