Spoiler warning

Once more unto the breach. After Hundred ended with a somewhat satisfying conclusion to the story, I was actually intrigued at what new ideas and storylines Triple D could introduce into the show to prevent me from banging my head against a wall. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. The way this season comes across, it feels like it was written by someone who not only didn’t work on the first two seasons and someone whose only knowledge of the first two season’s plot comes from highlight clips on YouTube, and if you look at the writer’s filmography, that feeling that Triple D givesyou suddenly makes a whole lot of sense. The plot is so intergalactically stupid that even watching it in Japanese as background noise gives you a headache. I mean for example, when villains introduced this season get arrested, it’s actually shocking because for some reason previous season villains like Kyoya are still free and still plotting evil. The character development and plotting is so beyond childish, it feels like it is insulting the intelligence of any children actually watching this. In fact, it contains such childish nonsense as Kyoya being allowed to roam free by authorities when he keeps obviously getting up to evil and Gao’s future wife keeps drooling over him. Honestly, just when I thought I couldn’t keep getting angry about it, because it was running out of things to aggravate me, it just gets on my nerves again. I have watched nearly sixty nine total hours of the Buddyfight series, totaling over four thousand minutes culminating in one hundred and sixty five episodes. If they could’ve just cut the three seasons down into three seasons of thirteen episodes, it would make it so much better.
