JJK 2nd season is finished. After reading some reviews I am simply shocked, that many people are probably watching different anime than me. Whether it's the issue with animation, story or entire MAPPA-thing issue. I will try to somehow sort parts of the 2nd season and evaluate, what is truly good and wrong regarding some level of quality in JJK universe, not because of few Tweets... Hidden inventory arc (ep 1-5): This is some kind of prequel and addition towards the watcher so he knows some relationships around Gojo and his past. Essentially this part is important to fully enjoy the rest of the anime as charactersfrom this part are shown further in the anime or at least mentioned. Story-wise it was fun with a few jokes here and there and we got some informations about Gojo's life when he was younger. Opening was a fire and it literally created some "wall" between this and next arc. Animation there is amazing and it looks more like testing of MAPPA limits.

Shibuya incident arc (ep 6+):
As I mentioned some wall between last and this arc, it was completely turnover. Gojo's having fun and having his friend is turning into desperation and pure chaos with a lots of fights. Opening is kinda subtly spoiling some things in advance, which you won't catch anyway until you'll get to that ep.

Story-wise it's not as calm and narrow as Hidden inventory arc and you'll have a lot of fights every episode, which is what JJK is in the end about. This is something some people didn't or don't like but in my opinion this is something JJK always has been, complaining after 1 entire season and another arc is a bit too late...

Without trying to make some spoilers, it's good to know that anime isn't scared to kill some favorite characters and basically get to the roots of the fights and enjoyment. There are no boundaries like "nah, this for sure can't happen", if it can happen, it will happen, simple as that. Shibuya arc is also showing us Sukuna once again and once again without some spoilers, his episode is one of the most controversial regarding situation in MAPPA.

Situation with MAPPA:
At this point I would like to say that nobody of us know, what's the real situation in MAPPA. Japan has simply different work culture, as we all know but still, I don't think it's a good move to hate or praise MAPPA regarding that situation. I have some personal opinion to that but some people wouldn't like it, so I will rather keep it for myself. Anyway there is 1 inevitable fact: whether animators have some issues inside of MAPPA or not, they managed to deliver us a fantastic story with fantastic animations. Maybe I am terribly blind but I simply don't see that "drop in quality" as some people tried to mention. I think that animators did a great job and at least from animation's perspective this is masterpiece piece of work.

Final conclusion:
I would simply say, if you liked JJK season 1 and movie, you will absolutely like this season too, maybe even more as I did. Even though I see some noticeable holes which could be better but are not destroying one's enjoyment. Anime personally disappointed me just in Gojo's part where I expected some more action with him and also some more space for some other characters. Because of that this anime is great but not a masterpiece for me. But it's indeed catchy in many ways and there is no real "drop in quality" as some people are trying to say. Ending of the anime was great and can't wait for next season. SPOILER: Fights with Yuta will be for sure amazing.
