Review of Ping Pong the Animation

Alright. Ping Pong the animation was a fantastic show. For me , this show wasn't about ping pong but about the story of tsukimoto and peco and ping pong just happened to be a part of their story. Ping pong gives you insights into lives of different types of players and the way they look at that sport. It 's greatest strength is it's characters. From different players like Smile , peco to even coaches like koizumi. It focuses on everyone and they all provide major contributions to the story. Masaaki Yuuasa's unique style of storytelling is quite clearly visible in this anime as well. Some shots inthe anime during matches feel like they're literally panels taken out of a manga the way our screen is divided into 3 or 4 parts. A character that I personally loved in the series was kong wenge. The music was great as well. Especially loved the "hero" song in the finale.
So overall summing up this review, this anime was about tsukimoto calling out his hero for years and what happens when that hero returns.
