Incredible. I had the feeling that after a weird first season Noragami would flip the table and pull of a masterpiece with this second season, and i was right! Noragami Aragoto is the continuation of Noragami and follows up onto the story of the god of war Yato. This season focuses mainly on two gods: Bishamon the mightiest god of war and Ebisu the god of fortune. Bishamon character is completely amazing altough some people call out on her fanservice, i dont (she is a goddess and the anime doesnt try to portray her as sexy, she simply is naturally charming). Aside from looks and bath scenes weget a lot more information about her past, her team of divine instruments and Kazuma his faithful divine vessel.
Without spoiling, Bishamon (and her arc) is simply and plainly pure baddasery. A strong independent (lol) goddess that is written on the right way.
The first arc of Noragami explores her hatred and conflict with Yato.
The second arc starts with a weird foot, taking Yukine out of the picture almost completely.
Ebisu and Yato get some extremely quick character development but it's kinda forgiven since they are on the verge of death and everything.
We also get a lot more Nora and some desperately needed explanations for Ayakashi, names, invocations, etc.
Bishamon comes to save the day and Yato, Yukine and the power of friendship try to help but the show says a big no and we reach a sad but believable ending.
There is a plot twist at the final seconds of the show but i feel it could have been made more properly as it didnt had a impact proper to the magnitude of the revelation.
Hiyori once again fails to find a good place on the story just like she did on the first season but the rest of the character cast do a good enough job to create a great show.
Overall the enjoyement of this season vastly beats the first season.
