Review of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind The legends of the masterful Plot Armor continue in a fifth part. This part is by far my favorite of all previous ones, thanks to the improved animation and stronger atmosphere. Unfortunately, the main problem has not yet been resolved. JoJo is still a work that has an enormously poorly implemented plot, which is supported in every corner by Plotholes and Plot-Arnor wherever it can. Virtually nothing in the plot structure is really logical and everything happens because it happens. This domino principle was tolerable at first, but he really uses it anew in every part. That's why it's still the same. Youcan only watch JoJo because of the personable characters, music, and individual fights.
However, here and there it pulled again, with the series throwing one enemy after the other into the ring without getting to the actual topic. I like the fights, but their resolution is obvious 100% of the time, as long as the antagonist doesn't join in. As soon as the antagonist makes his first round, we already know how it ends.
I also think that the antagonists should be given significantly more screen time. He was almost absent until the end of the series, whereas you saw some irrelevant no-names that acted almost only as story blockers.
All of this is nothing new, however, it happens in every part except Part 2, because there the main antagonists are shown early enough compared to the length.
The real story of Part 5-Golden Wind only consists of bringing the daughter back and messing with the main antagonist. There is nothing more. And until you get to that point, there are quite a few fights with any booth users who are just there. But at least the atmosphere is there. It doesn't feel as sluggish as the desert adventure in Stardust Crusaders.
The characters are also special here again. Not just because of their bizarre stands, but their character traits and personalities.
The music was very impressive here too. Or rather "Typical - JoJo". The intros, especially the second, are also enormously individual.
Nobody can say which of the parts is the best in terms of implementation. All of them have their strengths and weaknesses. However, this one is definitely my favorite.
