Starting off I watched this series manly for the hype surrounding it so my expectations were set high. Starting with the story; there is no plot in this show. If you care about plot this show is not for you. The show did little to explain what the parasites were and by the end I had myself googling and coming up with multiple answers. I don't want to hear "they explained it in the manga" because if they did then it's the anime fault which is what I'm reviewing. The art in this show is good nothing really notable. The soundtrack matches the show badly. It's this screamodubstep death metal monstrosity and more often then not when it started up in action scenes I found myself laughing or cringing at how edgy it is.

The mc is okay in how they handle the situations like how a normal teenager would and his development is great with him going from an annoying pussy to a semi badass.

I didn't enjoy this show personally and I don't think I can go beyond explaining my feelings other than that I thought it was edgy. If I watched this show when I was an edgy 13 year old who liked sword art online I would have loved it but after being a weeb for 4 years and soaking in anime for at least an hour everyday I can say if you've seen a bunch of anime and you like shows with lots of plot this isn't for you. If you like edgy blood splatters and action scenes this is for you.

I give this show 5 edgy dupstep death metal screams out of 10
