Review of Diabolik Lovers II: More,Blood

This is coming from the perspective of someone who has watched both seasons, read the manga, AND PLAYED THE GAMES. I feel like with Diabolik Lovers if you want to know the plot in depth you must play the otome game. Since I already know everything about each character and everything about the plot this anime feels like it was made for the already fans. It's the only way to understand what's going on. To those that don't know: the Adam and Eve plan is to have one of the vampires awaken as "Adam" and give birth to a new race with "Eve" (Yui). The Mukamibrothers are trying to help carry out this plan by seeing if they can become Adam themselves. They do this by drinking her blood. Reiji says they won't be successful because only a pure blood vampire can become Adam. In the game Yui must choose an Adam (This is why the ending was so significant). Every episode is pretty much just scenes from the game taken from a character's route. Watching this anime without knowing any backstory can be challenging to understand everything. I would suggest reading up about the story before watching the anime so you can enjoy it much more. I saw the first season before knowing anything and thought it was bad but when I learned more about the characters and plot watching the show again was 100x more enjoyable.
