Review of Fire Force
Fire Force was one of the HOT new shonen I heard about before entering the anime scene. I remember the name and the hype surrounding it. My friend ended up recommending it to me, and I binged the first cour. The second cour took me a little longer. I was intrigued by the world of Fire Force: the companies, the characters, their powers, et cetera. The problem was that many of them became more and more uninteresting to me. Shinra is a really fun character, I love his demeanor and his constant devil-like grin. He's funny and overall one of the more sick characters. Insharp contrast, there's Tamaki. She is constantly the butt or oppai of all the jokes I see. She is contantly losing clothes or falling onto someones face. It got pretty annoying, but she was also pretty wholesomely cute from time to time. Her ability was cool, she had unique eyes compared to the others. Too bad she was the oppai of those types of joke which were frequent. The art and animation in this show was actually amazing. The fire effects differed between characters and the ways they were used kept me interested in the fights. Overall, the strongest part of the show without a doubt. Sound effects are actually really close to the fire effects too. The sound of fire sometimes resembles beat drops in dubstep and it hits like a truck-kun. My enjoyment is a 7 because I fell off for a bit after the 1st cour. It just didn't make me want to watch. I'm only going to finish the second season because this was one of the shows I watched in my first season of anime. To end this off, Fire Force is a solid anime. Animation hits hard alongside the sound effects, story and characters feel one note part of the time, and enjoyment can fluxuate. All and all, a solid anime, 7/10.
