Review of Fire Force

Do not watch this. This is not Soul Eater. This is not good. The characters lack personality and feel like cardboard cutouts rather than real people. The plot moves far too quickly, skipping over world-building and character development in favor of flashy battles and forced drama. Relationships between characters are pushed by the script rather than earned—nothing feels natural or believable. The animation is... good, I guess? At least visually, it has some cool moments. The art style is stylish and does resemble Soul Eater, but that's about where the similarity ends. The story is generic shounen fare with an edgy coat of paint. It's not unique,and when it's not predictable, it's just confusing. The show tries to be deep or emotional, but it lacks the groundwork to make any of it land.

The characters aren't well-rounded at all. Most of them are either overly stoic, too loud, or just there to fill a trope. Flaws and strengths? Barely. Emotional reactions? Often nonexistent or totally over the top for no reason.

Even if you're a fan of action shounen, this might still disappoint. Unless you're only here for flashy fights and don’t care about story, character, or emotional investment—skip it. There are far better options in the genre.
