Review of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations

8.5/10...THAT ENDING SLAPS I watched this without having watched Naruto or Naruto shippuden and I am glad because I knew that watching it after would just have made me compare the two side by side, and without Naruto's influence this anime is a solid 8.5/10...Boruto is such a raw character, nothing like his father but at the same time so much like him? I loved the fact that he was not written just to please the audience and was made into something unique! I can see why people aren't very enthusiastic about it...Naruto for them is peak as well as nostalgia BUT as I said watchingBoruto without having watched Naruto first really made my opinion differ so much from others.
Every character has their own demons to fight, being the child of a famous personality isn't always sunshine and rainbows, when they can rarely make time for you. Everything these children do is judged to what their parents did in the past, some embrace it like Sarada and some choose to switch away from it completely like Boruto.
'You should do you because you are not your father' , Boruto said that many times throughout the anime, not just to himself but to everyone who was suffering from the same fate.
I would have loved it if Hinata were to be more involved in his life and for Naruto as well as Sasuke to have had a better character design since they are the characters people were obviously the most hyped about including me and that makes me take away the 2.5 away.
