Review of Tsukigakirei
A lot of people really loved this anime, but I found it decent. It is a bit slice of life, and I got bored a couple times watching. I really like the first few episodes, but after it got a bit bland. Long story short, it's a boy meets girl and face the typical misunderstanding and trials of a middle school relationship. I thought it was surprising realistic in depicting a shy couple, rather than how a lot of shoujo manga and anime do it. It made me get secondhand butterflies because the main couple do things that Icould really see happening in real life. I do wish this could've been a high school relationship, than a middle school one, as it seems restricted by that. The main couple is cute and shy, but it doesn't go much deeper than that. The side characters are also likeable.
Something that bugs me though it is realistic, is that they mostly communicate through texting and I don't see them really getting to know each other on a deeper level. They are in love, but it seems like they haven't even talked that much.
I do like the art and music quite a bit :)
Overall, it was enjoyable, and would recommend it to people who like slice of life and cute romance.
