This is a story of discovery in more ways than one; a journey that takes one to the edge of the world and back. A Place Further Than the Universe, a series about four girls taking their first steps on the path to a world unknown to them, is well-crafted and gorgeous in every way imaginable. It deserves its place among the quiet slice-of-life hits from the Winter 2018 season alongside shows such as Laid Back Camp and Violet Evergarden. Watching the characters on their journey reveals how fleshed-out and really relatable they can be to the audience. Every serious moment hits emotionally hard, the comedictiming between them is natural and in-character, their relationships are absolutely authentic. I can say that I will never have regrets or criticisms when watching this show.

P.S. A Place Further Than the Universe was listed in a New York Times article titled "The Best Shows of 2018" in three categories: Best Show, Best International, Best New Show
