Review of Ghost Hunt

I saw this anime alone about 6 years ago. Then i feel frightened ( after watching only 4 episodes) and mai's attraction toward Shibuya was irritating one to me due to my mind set in those days (not so open minded and less perceptive of me). But now when i watched it with my mom, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Though there are many reviews on this anime i am not able to stop myself on writing this review. Story: Shibuya the owner of Shibuya Psychic Research center comes to solve a case of supernatural accidents at a school with his assistant Lin. Maitanigava's mistake injures lin so she had to assist shibuya in his case recordings etc. But shibua's personality-i.e., Narcissistic ( over self-admiration which is hilarious though)nature makes mai to call him Naru. In reality his acquaintances call him so. Mai without previous information on him calls him so. So shibuya feels shocked and exclaim " how do you know that name?." So from this point on wards he is referred by all other characters as naru. The gist of the entire story is how he solves para normal cases with the help of friends ( whom he meets at the first case)

Caracters: Unlike other anime, i feel that female protagonist (mai) has good standing and nature. It is projected well in the story. Lin's character was so mysterious. He cautions shibuya many times not to do use his powers. The reason was evident in the last episode. He speaks less but laughs only in one episode, which is pleasant. All the supporting characters are well used by giving them exact weight of importance. For instance, Priestess is showed powerless but at the right time she demonstrated her powers vibrantly. It lead to shibuya's recovery. In the absence of Shibuya, the monk also exhibits great leadership qualities, who in general seems careless. Another character yashuwara (student council president), who was introduced in the later sections of the anime, was also shown to be useful till the end of the series.

The story has only one filler but it is too good. I can sympathize with the ghost lady who died due to the humiliation of her boyfriend who poured water over her head. Mai did retaliate well with it.

Art: Perfect

Sound: Fabulous OP song which is apt to the genre. Listening to it gave eerie sensation.

Enjoyment:

We (I and my mom) thoroughly enjoyed the show. Everyone can watch it as this is a clean (No fan service) anime and even horror scenes (which were hair raising) were quite enjoyable. There is beautiful romance which is not concluded but left to the viewers imagination.
