Review of Waiting in the Summer
No Spoilers Review While watching the first episode, it didn't really seem too great in my opinion. The Si-Fi style it had mixed into it didn't really appeal to me at first. But as it went on, I kind of got really into it. One thing that really got me watching was the romance between two characters. It was something that made me sort of smile while watching them grow closer. No only that, but it made me even root for them to get together at one point. I'm someone who watches a ton of Rom-coms and Slice of Life anime. But to be clear, this onesticks out from others. With the Drama and Sci-Fi added in there it gives it a great feeling. Something I'm not used to, but if done correctly; can be enjoyed very much.
Now a big part of me giving this anime a 10, wasn't just because of its Romantic Comedy style. But it was because with every episode leading up to the end, you just didn't want to see things end at all. Along with that, all the characters played their own special roll in things throughout the anime. So it didn't only feel like the story was based around 2 specific people. Which for something considered a Rom-Com, it was really nice to see changed.
