Review of Black Lagoon

This is a spoiler free review: Categories: Guns and lots of them, action, dark, psychotic, chaotic, thrilling, adrenaline rush, explosive, pumped up, war, gangs and syndicates, modern day pirates. The main character is a businessman from Japan named Rock who earned his nickname after quitting his job with a finger at his CEOs and gives up the quiet business life for the life of crime on the seas of Thailand with a motley crew. The main crew member of note is an attractive, trigger happy psychopath named Revy aka Two-hands who is very Laura Croft-esque in terms of looks and shooting style but replace the fascination withtombs with killing people. Rock is a very cool-headed, intelligent individual who is innocent of the truly messed up horrors that Revy has been through and over time they begin to understand and respect each other, even with Revy's contrasting hot-headedness, blood lust, and loud obnoxious demeanor. Also emphasized are other characters similar to Revy in terms of the morose, unfeeling and monstrous personalities gained from innocence long lost and bloody wars and conflicts survived. The shoot downs, the explosions, the profanity, the fist fights, and the most amazingly pumped up intro song ever make this an excellent action anime to watch.
