Review of Sword Art Online

You either love SAO to death, absolutely despise it with all your being or think it's ok, and you think people hate it too much but people also love it too much. I'm in the 3rd category. This review will focus more on the Aincrad arc, not the Alfheim arc. This show has many bad qualities, but some pretty ok qualities to it as well, but sadly, the bad outweighs the good by a long shot. Kirito is a Mary Sue, Klein deserved more screen time, Yui was a pointless character that pretty much ruined the tension of the plot about if you die in the game youdie in real life, however, Asuna was alright. They kinda ruin her in the Alfheim arc though. OH WELL.

The OP 'Crossing Field' is honestly quite alright. The song is pretty good, the visuals are nice, ect. The ED song is quite nice to listen to as well.

The anime it self though was pretty decent at the start, then very quickly started plummeting down hill. A lot of people debate when this show got bad, but it started to go pear shaped when Yui was introduced. She was killed off only a few episodes later, and ruined the tension of being able to die at any time in the game; Know why?

Because they bought her back in the Alfheim arc. She was killed off only so they could have a character killed off the tear at your heartstrings, because they obviously wouldn't kill off Asuna or Kirito. That's when everything fell apart.
