An egrecious case of style over substence It is very clear from the beginning that Casshern Sins tries way too hard to be philosophical, it's pacing can also be quite erratic jumping from scene to scene before they feel quite finished, but despite it's shortcomings it does also pose some interesting mysteries, this yearning for the truth that we feel together with the protagonist along with the marcarbly beautiful aesthetic and soulful soundtrack almost compensates for the lurking melodramatic feel it has created Unfortunately, every bit of intrigue that built up over the course of the series gets completely destroyed half way thru in a matter ofminutes as all the answers are spoonfed to the audience leaving no room for any critical thinking whatsoever, and things just keep getting worse from here on

What little coheasive plot there was shatters as the scene jumps get more extream. It also very quickly becomes apparent that there's a severe lack of character developement, with new introductions having no defined personality and old staples breaking character multiple times per episode, leaving the audience as oblivious as Casshern himself as we keep getting spoonfed more nonsense
