1.11 was a disappointment for me, it felt like it was just a (mostly) shot-for-shot remake of the first 6 episodes of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion TV series. For Christ's sake, while I was watching it, I could recite lines as they were saying it. Seriously. Animation-wise, the movie was gorgeous. (And the scenes done shot for shot shows the attention to detail in the original series)
