Review of Durarara!!

The kind of anime that takes some interesting, evocative and unlikely characters, intertwines their seemingly unrelated lives together in a satisfying, intriguing web of love, life, motive and dark secrets. I've just finished bingeing it over two days and I'm quite satisfied. Its a got a good mix of dark, bright and depth. The characters are interesting and the jumping between character parallels didn't irritate me at all. It's the sort of anime that does a good balance of everything. The anime sort of sets you up to think, the characters are typical, the plot will be the usual action-packed adventure, maybe all three will savethe world in a cliched kind of way. But it's not. It's more like, an unravel of Ikebukuro.

Pros: You've got a great mix of characters. The plot is intriguing. There aren't really any moments where you question anime-logic, and that is something that makes this anime quite unique.

Cons: Not the sort of anime to get you hyped or attached or emotional. You enter on neutral terms, experience some highs and lows, and leave relatively the same.

If you liked Battle Blood Blockade, Erased, Tokyo Ghoul, this anime might be worth the watch.
