Review of A Certain Magical Index
The year is... I forgot. The world is... Earth. Modern day. For 2008. There are 3 types of people. People. Espers. and Sorcerers. Espers and Sorcerers live in two different societies. One believing in Science and one Religion. Until on man with a legendary right arm and Pornhub premium will rise up to the challenge of... uh... Solving random cases he just happens to find himself in. Yeah. Pretty much it. This show is face paced with each arc being about several episodes. The characters are developed enough but the plot... OK! So we got Touma Kamijou who meets a young nun called Index. Together they will- Complainabout having no food and money while being hunted by sorcerers, protected by sorcerers and will fight... you guessed it... An experimental esper who is being focused trained into becoming level 6 by killing thousands of clones. You know... THE OBVIOUS NEXT STEP! PAY ATTENTION!
We also have a loli teacher who looks like a 10 year old but chain smokes and drinks tons of beer and has a messy apartment. She does magic once.
You will also meet Mikoto Misaka, A Certain Scientific Railgun. She is one of the strongest Espers. Watch as she.... does practically nothing this whole season. Huh... I am not doing a good job selling this show...
OH! There is two mages who try to protect Index and Kamijou by... Fighting once and not winning until Kamijou wins for them... Uh...
LOOK I SWEAR THIS SHOW IS PRETTY GOOD!
Story: 6 - It is an alright story. This season serves as a more of a introduction to everyone and a slight growth to the main hero. By slight i mean... none really.
Art: 8 - It screams early 2000's style and that is by no means bad. It is actually very well done!
Sound: 8 - Good OST, A banger two openings and some sound effects that sound pretty cool.
Character: 7 - They certainly are in this show alright!
Enjoyment: 10 - Look I can not explain this well. I watched it and binged the whole ass first season in 2 days. It is good. Trust me. Please? Have I ever been wrong? *Looks at Real Girl Review* ...I stand by that.
Overall: 7 - It is kind of mid at times, but it never dips below that. Except for that small ass apartment run moment. Like... HOW BIG IS THAT TINY APARTMENT? HE RAN FOR LIKE A SOLID MINUTE!
10/10 5 Stars.
