It has become common place to bash this anime and talk badly about it. And it angers me. Because this anime truly was enjoyable for me. In fact the main reasons I wish to write anime reviews is because of this show. I have recommended this anime to people to have them say, "Oh I heard that anime was trash", or "Oh that anime is so bad." And none of them could tell me why. This is an honest review of Sword Art Online, and I'm going to keep it short and simple and easy to understand. The story of S.A.O. is a premise that isgetting more and more popular. Getting stuck in a video game and it turns into real life. I, myself, have thought many times how awesome it would be to be a character in a video game, but I would never want to live in S.A.O.

The main thing people always bash about S.A.O is how much the main character is just strong for no explainable reason. He often survives situations that normally kill the average person put in that situation and always manages to come out on top. People literally bash him for being a freaking main character. And it irks me in a way you can't imagine. I want to go into depth about this, but I refuse to spoil too much. Needless to say, if you are a fan of Shonen anime and like to see a main character who is strong and willing to fight for what he believes in, this is a show you will enjoy.

The art in S.A.O has it's ups and downs but God is It good. The art holds its own and makes it very pleasing to the eyes. It's not too flashy I admit when i watch this anime it feels like an anime should. The fight scenes and choreography is on point and entertaining to watch. Action scenes are portrayed well and it's nice watching the fluidity of the characters on screen.

So, I'm going to fanboy about the music in S.A.O. Simply astounding. There have been times in my life watching anime when music plays during a scene and it just enhances the entire scene. Man oh man, does S.A.O. Not disappoint in that regard. I still remember the first time watching Kirito fight a certain boss and my god did I get chills. I, got, chills! Who ever was in charge of music in S.A.O deserves a round of applause and to be praised. They did fantastic.

As for the characters. They are interesting. Majority of the characters all share one trait, they don't want to die. So they continue to push on for the sake of living. And each character I seen in S.a.O had something about them that made then unique to me. They aren't perfect, and They have their flaws, but the characters and this anime were really enjoyable and stick with you in a way you don't expect.

Over all. I highly enjoy this anime. I have seen it time and time again. And never once have I been bored by it. Scenes that gave me chills still do. And the excitement hasn't worn out.

Give this anime a chance. Don't let reviews shy you away from enjoying your passion. Anime is an art form meant to be enjoyed. People put blood sweat and tears into these shows and we should not bash their hand work with simple words. This anime is truly enjoyable and deserves to be watched.
