Review of [Oshi No Ko]
The anime of the season, a damn love letter to animation. What can I say about this anime that hasn't been said before? It's incredible, a gem from start to finish. I fully understand that there are those who may not enjoy it or share my opinion, and I completely respect that. But for me and many others who enjoy this kind of storyline, it's truly great. Akasaka did it again, crafting well-structured characters with solid personalities. That writer is a genius, no doubt about it. Speaking of the characters, it's worth noting that while their personalities don't vary much throughout, they are still highly interesting and consistentin their thoughts and actions. Moreover, their interactions feel natural and realistic, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, I think they are very well-developed.
The presence of "mini story arcs" alongside the main plot makes it even more enjoyable and easy to digest.
The animation is excellent, another outstanding work by Doga Kobo studio. The quality of the artwork, lighting, and animation is top-notch, without any complaints in this particular aspect.
The soundtrack is another standout feature, both the opening and ending themes, as well as the background music, are remarkably well-crafted. The tracks perfectly complement the moments of tension, drama, sadness, or happiness, practically guiding the viewer on how they should feel while watching the scene. The opening, performed by YOASOBI, is truly a musical masterpiece.
In conclusion, this anime is highly acclaimed for a good reason. It's excellent and can easily captivate you from the first episode, leaving you wanting more by the end of the season. I highly recommend it, as it has become one of my favorites without a doubt.
